If you’re interested in buying fresh, local produce or growing your own, why not head down to the Grown by the Bay Food Festival this Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Parry Sound High School, from 9 to 4 PM. There will be workshops all day on how to grow your own food, and an indoor farmer’s market where you can meet local producers.

Admission is free, but donations to Harvest Share are appreciated.

On Sunday, join the “Magical McKellar Farm Tour” to experience local food production first hand. Tour space is limited, so contact the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve at 705-774-0978 to reserve your spot on the bus for $5.

For more information, visit the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve website, or read the article at ParrySound.com.
